Robin Hood Whaler
Robin was a deputy Area Commissioner in Auckland. While not a Sea Scout he was very supportive of the branch. He was instrumental in gaining support to run an event in 2003 on Motutapu Island when the National Regatta was cancelled only 6 months out from the event. This event was the foundation on which the National Regatta in 2006 was based after a 9 year gap in regattas.
The Whaler and Clipper (regatta aggregate) were purchased and donated by Chris Patterson (Bucklands Beach Sea Scouts / Marque Magnetics) in memory of Robin for the 2006 Regatta. Chris was a key person in the ROC for the 2006 event.
